YES OUR BIRDS RUN AROUND FREE IN THE HOUSE "NO OUR CATS DO NOT EAT THEM NOR DO THEY WANT TOO!!
BUT WE NEVER FORGET THAT IT'S IN THEIR NATURE AS FELINES TO EAT BIRDS SO WE ALWAYS MONITER THEM CLOSELY TO INSURE EVERYONES SAFETY!

this is tonka she is in a birthing crate we keep birthing crates in the house in our laudry room where it is quite and dams can be monitered not all females will have kittens in crates. some of our females are very comfy having there kittens in laundry baskets and so we will provide these to females who prefer this. we have 4 sizes of crates we use here thats medium, large, xtra large and giant these are all used for cats but made for the larger breed dogs i find these work better than anything else and you can move them around easily with attaching wheels.. remember all these crates are temporary till we finish our cattery but roomy enough to keep our felines happy till the project is finished..

some info about our cattery we live in a very small house(love grows best in little houses) with great potention to add on.we do not have all our adults in the house at one time we have A attached garage heated and cooled that we have been remodeling in to a 3 room with medical room and wash area its a work in progress and we are shooting to have it finished by the end of 2010..weather and funds permitting. some of our cats are in containment pens that are temporary till we finish the project. we do rotate all of our cats in the house through out the week so they will not get depressed.our kittens are born and raised in the house underfoot and handled daily by all of us..
this has turned into a family affair as my mother has purchased a kitten and is also interested in breeding the munchkins she helps out alot and loves to come and socialize with the cats & kittens.

we have pergo flooring in the kitchen and we have lowpile indoor carpet throughout the living room we are remodaling a little here a little there as funds become available.we hope to have the whole house pergo flooring  by the end of the year 2010.
it seems as we get one thing remodeled another thing breaks so we spend alot of time working on stuff around here.. we plan on spending most of our summer working on the attatched garage and getting the pluming and wiring finished so we can put up the walls and cealings. we have also decided to spend the summer of 2011 building a new front porch and adding a full back porch which will be enclosed with full view windows and screens so that our cats will have more room to play we have also been thinking about adding 3 runs off the side of the cattery so that our cats will be allowed to get out side to play and enjoy the outdoors in safety and security at their own free will..
We will be adding pictures as we near completion of our projects so that everyone can see how far we have come from the day we started to the day we finished..

THE CATTERY
Pic189.JPG

the cattery is located inside the white doors,
this garage is attatched to the house after the project is finished their will be a nice new single window door where you see the old white doors.
their will also be french door access to the living room of the house directly from the cattery this will allow for ease of access from both inside the home and outside
their is also a rear door in the far back of the cattery that will also be replaced by a single glass door.. that will access the new add on sun porch..if you look to the side of the cattery you will see a 6 foot wide grassy area this is where we are thinking about putting the 3 runs each outdoor run will be 6x12x6h and have cat doors that can be locked, when completed their will be 3 rooms with each one having its own seperate out door run thus far satisfying every indavidual feline with in there own haven.including the males whome will also have their own room to exit to the outdoors..
